21 Years Without You, a Lifetime of Loving You 🤍

21 Years Without You, a Lifetime of Loving You 🤍 Mubarak, my son, you would be 21 now if you were still here in this dunya (this life). Instead, you are a green bird with Allah, and I am here, missing you. I trace the picture of your little feet with my fingers and imagine you sitting beside me at 21. I wonder how you would laugh if I tickled your feet the way I do your little brother’s. I can almost hear you saying, “Calm down, Mom!” just like Azooz does. I’m sure your feet would look like his, with those dark, hairy legs like a big bear! That thought makes me smile through my tears. Your big sister, Amber, loves you so much. Even 21 years later, she still tears up when we talk about you. And now you have a beautiful niece, Amelia, my little ladybug. How I wish I could hear her call you Uncle Mubarak and see you all together, laughing with Amber and Azooz. I miss you, my son. The little boy I held next to my heart, your eyes still closed, and the young man I can only imagine. I hold your love close to me. Your heart and mine are intertwined forever and more. Until Jannah (heaven), my heart, my soul. Infinity love. Love, Mama
