craving: these awesome bread rolls
and to all my followers....
I haven't made these in a very long time. Pictures were taken when we lived in Germany.
A sister gave this recipe to us on my site, Muslim Sisters site. I don't add water I just do warm milk. I find the milk makes it more moist.
you'll need:
-500 gram flour 4 to 5 cups
-half water and half milk.... i am sorry i never measure how much i put but i add some and then when i am kneading i will add more water if needed or more flour if it is to wet...you can start out with half cup of milk and half cup of water...
-pinch salt
-1 little bag quick working yeast 7g
-1 tbs sugar
-1/2 tbs of lemon juice (this will make the yeast to rise better)
-4 tbs oil
filling:
kiri cheese or if you dont have that you may use la vache que ri make sure you have 24 portions soo for kiri you need 2 packs.
you will need 1 egg and some sesame seeds to make the bread nice and golden.
mix all the ingredients and knead till the dough is nice and supple.
let it rest in a warm place for 30 till 45 min...
Make the Twelve balls, then roll. Place a piece of cheese in the center of each one and then you can roll it like a ball to cover up the cheese.
make 12 balls of the dough
Roll the ball like so:
Now that y'all are drooling everywhere, I'd like to take the time and Thank my dear sister Samantha for this lovely recipe. The above pictures are hers.
These are mine.. Taken in Germany.
There is no way you can have it without some Chai. I hope y'all enjoyed the pictures. I just might go get some whole wheat flour and make some of these, this coming weekend. Oh, no I forgot to take a picture of the homemade bread my Mother in law sent us this afternoon. Darn it. Oh well. I'll just have to pray she sends some again next weekend. She's the best cook. God bless her.
Final whisper: AS long as you are regular in your workout routine you can still enjoy the food we try to avoid. Portion is the key.

You make some sheera (sugar syrup) and cool it down. and when the bread come out of the oven you pour the sheera over it. OMG yummmmmmmmmy!

in sha' Allah I'll try your dough recipe. It's been so long since I've made anything like this.
My in-laws make the 'honey comb' a lot, and they roll the little balls in cinnamon and then bake. When they take it out, they pour sweetened condensed milk over the top. It's soooo yummy and tastes similar to cinnamon rolls.
